History at Trinity

Important Events in the History of Trinity Lutheran Church
- Americanization of a Swedish immigrant church founded
in 1882. First service in English in 1920, last service in Swedish
in 1943.
- Moving the church location from Lowell to Chelmsford.
In 1954 the Congregation voted not to move from Lowell. In 1960 the
congregation voted to move and acquired 16 acres in Chelmsford. First service
in the new church was held on Easter Sunday, 1964.
- The retirement of Pastor Orville Lind after 32 years of
service at Trinity from September 1968 until June 2000.
- The installation of Pastor Rinas in October of 2002.
David and Doreen Rinas came to Trinity from Prince of Peace in Augusta, Maine.
